How Evandr Got Its Name
The story behind our name
Evandr takes its name from Evander, a figure in Greek and Roman mythology known as both a protector and a seer. Not a conqueror, but a guide. Someone who prepared leaders for what lay ahead and helped shape outcomes before decisive moments arrived.
That origin matters.
Evandr exists for the space before action. Before growth accelerates. Before capital is raised. Before leadership shifts. Before visibility expands. The work of clarity, preparation, and judgment that allows organizations and leaders to move forward with confidence rather than reaction.
Katy Saeger's work has lived in that space for decades, advising leaders, organizations, founders, and institutions across government, global organizations, technology, capital, and culture. From the White House and classified agencies to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. From founders and family offices to venture capital firms, funds, and long-standing institutions navigating growth, transition, and scale.
The work is not only about communications. It is about stewardship. Guiding companies, organizations, and leaders through moments of expansion, capital formation, partnership, leadership evolution, and increased responsibility. Protecting what matters while helping shape what comes next.
Evandr was built as counsel, not an agency. A place for organizations and leaders who understand that growth, capital, and visibility require foresight as much as momentum. That preparation is a form of protection. And that seeing clearly is the most strategic advantage of all.
That is the role.
That is the work.
That is Evandr.
